The name Book Rescuers does not do justice to the treasures inside. Besides books, books, books that you can get a 3% discount by paying by app and start as low as $1, the store offers an array of vinyl records in various genres and rows and rows of DVDs. Local art of various and some hands-on activities including sensory experiences round out the offerings here. The front part of the store offers several comfy chairs to read and relax. Great prices, a huge array of genres of books including kids books, and fun things to do, like playing the piano.
Wheel chair access van parking space with curb cuts. Access throughout the store. Accessible restroom with grab bar.

Upon entering the store, you're greeted by an overwhelming yet delightful sight—shelves upon shelves of books, with genres ranging from classic literature to contemporary fiction, children's books, and even comic books. The store boasts over 500,000 books my guess, with more in the back waiting to be sorted and shelved.

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a reading lounge where you can browse through your finds in comfort.

Cute used book store with plenty of space to sit and read. Relatively quiet and the staff that were there on the weekend were very friendly and eager to help. The selection was okay, found a few decent quality books by a familiar author. Good size bathrooms and a little kids area in the back that is a nice touch. Prices are set based on type of book (paperback, hardcover) so when you can find a good quality/popular book it's a great deal.

Absolutely love this store. The book selection is unbelievable. And it's sorted out pretty well, easy to find. They also have a great music selection. Records, CD's, and cassette tapes. Good selection of DVDs too. Best part is everything is cheap, like stupid cheap.
The other thing I liked about this store is they promote local artists. They have a great selection of artwork for sale. And they have other materials too, very unique items. Have to check them out.

I was so excited to make a trip to @thebookrescuers in Largo, Florida, earlier this week. Boasting three miles of shelving, they have an amazing array of donated and rescued books, most of which are $1 to $3, DVDs, VHS tapes, puzzles and more. Check out this great stack. I had to have Ngaio Marsh’s Spinsters in Jeopardy. What a title!

I found it very interesting that while they have a huge mystery section and one whole case of James Patterson, I could not find one Agatha Christie novel. A clerk told me her books always go quickly. I was disappointed but heartened at the same time, that the Grand Dame is still so much in demand more than 100 years after publishing her debut novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles.

I also picked up a hard cover copy of the wedding people which was rated the best fiction book of 2024 for literally $3! Vibes were great and can’t wait to go back! -Shannon

I’ve been wanting to go to this place for well over a year and recently managed to go to their new location and I’m so glad I finally did! They have a great selection of super inexpensive used books and a large space that allows you to wander and look at everything they have to offer. I think this will be a bookstore I will visit often to check out their inventory as I’m sure it’s ever changing.
