Far and away the best writing on Scottish football. A perfect mix of the serious and the funny. With a good dose of nostalgia. Look good on the old bookshelves as well. Which is nice.

Subscriber since issue 1 and remain astounded by the breadth of quality writing. Stories which feel tangible, Nutmeg is a colossal publication which taps into fiction, poetry, illustration and photography - and for a very reasonable price too.

So much more than a mag. Hugh Taylor would be happy to see a worthy successor to his annual Scottish Football Book at last. Great value and top quality writing that covers the breadth and breath of Scottish football. Essential reading for anyone interested in our game. Covers wee teams too so how it should be.

I love football, love the match day experience and everything that comes with it, but I’ve never been one for football magazines. But a chance encounter on a plane to Edinburgh with someone carrying a copy of Nutmeg changed all that.
Every issue, I read cover to cover, and love the huge array of stories and articles. They are always well written, researched and shed a light on areas of football that I had no idea about.

Outstanding football magazine featuring the breadth and depth of Scottish football containing well written thought provoking articles on the nostalgic past, issues of the present game and consideration of the future of Scotland's national sport. A publication that recognizes the true strength of the sport lies well beyond the Old Firm blight slavishly prioritised by the Main Stream Media.
I look forward every quarter to my copy dropping through the letter box

A fantastic range of football writing from a broad range of very talented writers. And it smells like a new book every time you get the latest edition.

Been a very satisfied subscriber for 4 years. Great value - a really chunky quality read, with great breadth and depth across all aspects of Scottish football.

Always full of articles that can be funny, thought provoking, topical, historical and, most of all, of interest to the Scottish football fan who sees little of their quality in the Scottish newspapers. Lang may their lum reek.
