Bigger selection of deli choices than other Haggens. Lots of seating available for a quick meal as well as condiments, utensils, and a microwave for reheating. Great cold drinks, alcohol and produce selection as well. Friendly, courteous staff and clean restrooms. Was also lucky enough to find a few miscellaneous items that are harder to find locally.

Road trip? STOP HERE… Mt. Vernon is a small town “recipe” of Eastern Washington’s charm & sensibilities layered with a dash of urban services and convenience, topped with just enough city chic to amaze. To wit, this grocery store is the “cherry on the top” & the BEST grocery store I’ve ever patronized! Truly fantastic! From the moment you arrive at the entrance you can see the meticulous care taken with the outdoor merchandising (red truck & watermelons, yes please ?). To the abundance of impressive floral choices, you know you’ve arrived. The deli selection is superior & everything is well-stocked and freshest quality possible. (Super kind deli staff.) The wide array of gourmet flat bread pizzas, sandwiches & delicious salads is almost intoxicating. The bakery choices are stunning. (The prices are commensurate with Miami area & much lower quality products.) The interior of the store is pristine… I’m actually a little relieved I live across the country or this type of regular selection would inevitably make me very “fluffy” indeed. We tried 4 different pizza & flatbread combos & 4 different salads, all were excellent. (I will find those deli & bakery pictures later, promise, irresistible.) The manager running this operation deserves a raise; supermarket perfection! ♥️♥️♥️ (And maybe they could advise on the Barkley store because this location makes Barkley look very, very downtrodden comparatively.)

Blake possibly the asset. Manager embarrasses customers. If he can't keep his home problems home or can't keep his emotions under control or follow policy then he shouldn't be a manager. If that store eventually closes there will be a very good chance he contributed to the problem. You can't ask for crazy prices like they do and give horrible customer service. I do want to say all the other employees I have met there seems to be some of the best of the community.

I stopped by here because I wanted to go to the bathroom on the way to Mount Vernon. The inside of the store was very clean and all the staff kindly called out to me.
I was impressed with the bakery area. There is a wide variety of donuts, pastries, bagels, cookies and cakes. After all, I bought 10 donuts and beers.
If you come to the bakery area, you may buy donuts like I do.
If you are on a diet, it will be a dangerous place.
There are plenty of deli sandwiches, salads and sushi...etc. I was surprised at the variety of things. I think it's a good idea to stop by for lunch or dinner and take it home.
I took a quick look inside the store, I was impressed with the high quality assortment.
I would like to stop by again.

Their prices have gone up, and the deli quality has gone done.

Nothing like going in for an item that has been $8.99. Now it's on sale for $9.99, "regular price" $10.99.

My wife got us 2 single entree Asian bowls. There was no actual chicken, just fried gristle. The frozen veggies in the deluxe fied rice were cold. I wish I was exaggerating. I really wanted to bring it back.

Edit: went into to get something for dinner. Your prices are insane. I got my potatoes...then went to get my wife a pastry. The raised the price of a Danish from $1.50 to $2. 33% increase. I then went to find protein in the meat section. I couldn't believe how expensive. No "real" sales. I left my basket right there and left the store. I then went to grocery outlet and got 4 days worth of food for the $60 dollars just today's meal would had cost me at Haggen's. Better steaks too. Just a shame.

Do better Albertsons/Haggen's.

This is one of the better grocery stores in the Mount Vernon area (in my opinion).
It’s a little more pricey than Safeway or Freddie’s, but worth it for the bakery, meats, and produce.
They have a decent bakery selection, the cookies are super good for store bought.

They now have fat free and low fat self serving soft serve ice cream 2 bucks a sugar cone 4 bucks a cup! 4 flavors with options of swirls! Can't beat that!
