Such a charming bookshop cafe! Very calm, many people come for a quiet chat or to read. Excellent selection of books by Asian authors.

Came here on a Friday afternoon to have some quiet reading time alone and this cafe was exactly what I expected it to be: quiet, serene and peaceful.
It's half a bookstore, half a cafe.
Good and interesting assortment of books available, especially local books. Coffee is alright, and the price is also alright. Will definitely be back.

A cool and relaxed environment! I attended the launch of Tay Kheng Soon's book here and was impressed by the amazing crowd and the ample seating available. It was an enjoyable evening, and I’ll definitely visit again.

Absolutely enjoy the serenity in this café! I love that there’s so much space to dine in or read. Their selection of books is pretty nice, too. Would love to come back ASAP. Totally recommend!

My new favorite place in Singapore! Fantastic collection of books by local and Asian authors! If you’re looking for good books in any genre — the children’s, social issues, fiction and food/hawker related selections are particularly awesome — and especially if you want to get a gift for someone visiting Singapore, this is the place to do it. Plus it’s a cute cafe with great food (the orange scone is delicious)!
The owner is super helpful and has great personalized recommendations too, so definitely ask for some!

I joined their bookworm banter night which was basically a offline gathering for bookworms to collectively read for 1hr and then chat on the books they’ve read for another hour. It was my first time attending such event and I had such a great time.

Tickets priced at $20, you get a free drink and $5 off for book. I got myself a glass of wine and a new book.

Best way to spend a Friday night. Thank you for hosting Book Bar and I hope to attend many of such events!
