Top shelf independent bookstore with a huge, constantly changing selection of books on every subject, for every taste, at great prices. There's no substitute for browsing in a brick and mortar bookstore. The owner is very amiable and helpful. Truly a Nanaimo gem, especially in this age of the big online realtors. This is a small bookstore. The first time I went in, I was expecting to be in and out quickly. No way. The books have been very carefully selected for a particular kind of intellectual taste. It's the kind of place where you're bound to find that perfect book you'd never thought of reading or that one you always wanted to read but never got around to. In an age of mass book sales and on-line dealers, it's great to be able to still find this kind of store.

Lots of books, very nice store owner. He was very helpful in locating books I was interested in, saving me a great deal of time. Located in a building that's quite old & historic, I loved this shop.

I didn't have cash with me, unfortunately. The owmer was very kind, allowed me to have the books held until I could come back with cash the next day. When I returned the next day he gave me a great price on my stack of books. Made me very happy.

Floor to ceiling books, written on every subject imaginable. I was able to find many books which really interested me, along with some unique finds which were special to me personally. Everywhere you look, there are all sorts or fascinating bits around the shop, and an owner who really knows his books. You can't ask for much more in a used book shop. I think I spent at least an hour there each visit & enjoyed every minute.

What an amazing book store. Popped in to kill some time and had a great chat with who I presume is the owner. Bought a couple books and had to leave a review because this place is lovely. I dont love in Nanaimo but I'll definitely come back when I'm in town next!
