Had a wonderful day today at the bookstore. Schwa was super cool and recommended ‘Scummer’ by John Wayne Comunale. A phenomenal read. Highly recommend a stop here for all book tourists.

Avantpop is most indie bookstore I have found. The owner was at the store when I visited and he was knowledgeable about so many things about the city and the local culture. The store specializes in rare, signed and first edition books. They also have local authors and used books. Avantpop is a gem among gems in this city.

This is a great bookstore that me and my husband venture to frequently since they opened, the owners are great people who genuinely care about community and supporting local artists. The set up of the book store makes for easy browsing, have found some really interesting books looking through the wide selection they carry and the prices are great. We are very lucky to have an Indie bookstore in Vegas like this thank you!

Sugar and Shwa own an incredible bookstore, Avantpop Books, that supports local creators and offers a variety of unique literature.

The store owners are very friendly and helpful. Their shop is filled with fascinating pieces, and I could have wandered it for hours. I loved the vibe of this bookstore and the owners’ passion for uplifting talent in the Las Vegas community.

If you ever visit Sin City or if you are a local, this is a must-see spot for artists, book lovers, and eclectic collectors. Just when I thought they couldn’t be cooler, they even host a John Waters book club.

This is a special bookstore ran by an amazing couple, and I highly recommend supporting this heartfelt, local business.

Hands down one of the most alive and vibrant creative and community focused spots in Las Vegas. Off the beaten path, adventurous finds are everywhere at Avantpop Bookstore. Locally owned and operated is an automatic WIN for me. Their wealth of knowledge, desire to protect, engage within and highlight the writing and reading community…….. it’s not just a bookstore or publishing company…. Avantpop Bookstore is a pillar of the Las Vegas art’s culture and future.

I went here for a poetry workshop recently and loved it! The workshops are wonderful and cozy, and the owners are friendly and down-to-earth. The bookshop itself is small, but has a great variety of very quirky and fascinating books that struck my fancy (New Age, psychedelics, queer zines). I’ve been able to find books here that are nearly impossible to find at B&N without some serious digging. Highly recommend checking them out!

Avantpop is everything I was looking for in a bookstore! Sugar and Shwa are inviting and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and intriguing. There is a wide selection of books, zines, and accessories for unbeatable prices. The lineup of events is amazing, I already cannot wait to return.
