Benchmark Books is a treasure trove for anyone interested in rare LDS books and materials. Their selection is truly remarkable, offering a wide range of hard to find titles that you won’t come across anywhere else. The store is well-organized, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable.

A special shoutout to Bryan, who went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for. His expertise and friendly demeanor made my experience even better. If you’re looking for a unique book or just want to explore LDS history through literature, Benchmark Books is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Very knowledgeable staff that know exactly where things are at in the store, and what they have in inventory. If you're seeking historical books, out of print, "rare", and even those that are best sellers of the day for a good study of theology, this is the right place.
They also host a variety of speaking events and presentations by authors that are always well done, and fun to interact with the author and the Q&A time.
Before you get tipped off on Ebay or another site that claims to know the status of a book and what it is worth, make sure you visit this store.

I took my husband to Benchmark books as he was looking for a certain book. They were anxious to help him find the books he wanted. He left with 3. The gentleman who helped him was very helpful and knowledgeable! We will definitely shop Benchmark Books again!

I had heard of this bookstore from a booth at a conference and wanted to shop locally when convenient, so I thought I'd stop by when I didn't want to wait for a book to be shipped and I was passing the area.

Do not expect a regular bookstore when you go here. It's pretty run down, messy (full of stacks of books around the checkout area, boxes in the middle of the aisle, etc.) and they didn't have books by Todd Compton or Whitney Horning, when I stopped by yesterday, in the used or new sections organized alphabetically by author's last name.

I wasn't greeted or asked if I needed help finding anything and the clerk didn't bother pausing his conversations with some seeming hobbyist book collectors to do so, so I left when I couldn't find what I was looking for. I'll stick to other places that are organized better and more friendly or just keep getting my books shipped. Oh, well.

I went to find art books on specific painters. Though you wouldn’t think it, the store had many art related books particularly of regional and local artists. The attendant kept coming up with various art related books that were so different than other places because of the highly regional slanting of this book store. Very helpful particularly because I gave them what initially seemed like a difficult task.

I was looking for a specific book and was ecstatic to receive a copy in pristine, practically new condition. If it weren't for a previous owner underlining a couple things in the foreword, you'd never know I bought it used. It arrived in a timely manner and I was even able to correspond with a staff member with a question I had. Wonderful, even from out of state.
