Came here for some Hastings Nostalgia and got it!!? Took me back to my high school days.
Book selection wasn't as large as I would have liked but still found a decent selection. Didn't stop us from staying there for hours. ?
Hardback Cafe was there as well but unfortunately was not open. ?
Staff was VERY helpful, always asking if they could assist. Would visit again!

This is a great spot to spend time thumbing through records, dvd’s, cd’s, real books, collectible toys, models and comics. You won’t believe the amount of inventory here. The folks working there are also nice and always willing to help find what you are looking for within this large inventory. If you are tired of shopping for gifts and media online and actually want to go in a store where you can touch and inspect the item with your eyes and hands, this is the place for you. They also buy and trade old used items.

I asked if the books were included the Black Friday sale they said yes all the books. Spent 2 hours shopping for books to find out a guy up front said it wasn’t included. They keep disappointing me. What a sucky Black Friday. I even asked. What a waste of time.

I’ve shopped here a few times since moving to the area at the beginning of this year, just because this is one of the only places in town that sells records. The first *brand new* record I purchased had a higher-price sticker over a previously placed sticker with a lower price, and they charged me the marked up price. That record turned out to be warped despite being brand new. There’s no returns on brand new records either. I tried buying a used DVD I had been looking for, despite them asking a brand-new price for used. They put their own shrink wrap on so you can’t inspect discs before purchase. After looking at the disc outside the store, I noticed the plastic was cracked in the center, and many scratches on the disc itself. I brought it back in to return, they first insisted the disc could still be fine despite cracks and scratches, then tried to force me into an exchange before realizing they didn’t have another in stock. Their return process makes you give them your phone number and driver’s license as if you’re going to try and scam them somehow. Overall, the staff seems miserable and like they hate their jobs, just rude and unprofessional. It’s too bad because Kerrville could really use a decent music/movies store.

A few months back I sold some DVD box sets of various television shows. The cashier spent over long investigating every detail of the box sets. She angrily asked me why the preview picture on Amazon looks slightly different than the box art of the product in hand. Her assumption seem to be I would have went to the time and expense of forging DVDs and their labels to scam her out of a few extra dollars in trade-in value. Even the manager thought this was excessive and pointless.

Staff are morons and there's a layer of dust on everything.
