I love to come to this market because they have a big oriental market with lots of food and snacks from China and Japan and more.I got a watermelon boba and a mocha boba 🧋which was delicious 😋 I recommend this place.

If there’s an award for outstanding employees then Maddi sure does deserve top customer service. She proactively wrapped our eggs with a rubber band because she thought the lid wasn’t going to be secure. And she was so accommodating for my dystonic tremor, helping me to feel less conspicuous. Even telling me to come back to her till anytime 😊.
The store had a great deal on BC cherries, always a must have treat this time of year. I really should only ding Fairway 1/2 point for not having a better selection of summer produce, especially locally grown stuff. But the layout in this store is great. I think you could comfortably shop the outside aisle for healthy choices with few impulse choices. One thing that no other big grocery store in Nanaimo has is the incredible selection of dim sum ready to go frozen and fresh dishes plus all the ingredients you need if you’re a do it yourself cook. They could stand to have more shopping carts available especially since it was a very un busy time and I had to search for a cart.
But way to go Maddi!!

In an effort to support a truly island business we bought Chinese food here for the first time in a long time. It was awful. The sweet and sour pork was so old and chewy it hurt my gums trying to chew it. When I bought here years ago it was excellent but it’s gone way downhill. Very disappointed.

The owner will follow you around assuming you're a thief based on appearance. The vegetable section is extremely low quality compared to many other places in town. Prices are high and you can easily find a better deal. The cooking/baking staff and breakfast are fantastic.

I used to love shopping at fairway market for the extensive selection of oriental goods. The staff in produce and the deli and hot food are a delight to deal with.

Something has gone seriously downhill with the front end staff. I have always been a firm believer if you're unhappy when you work. Move on. There is an older gentleman who I have never had a good experience with, I actually will limit my item count to go through customer service when he is running the till.

Tonight I was served by a lady in a black mask, she was un-friendly, rude, and cold. She talked down to me a number of times during our interaction and even made a comment that I considered to be racist about another customer that went through her till before me.

I'm not a rude person or unfriendly myself. I always try to strike up a conversation and make the checkout clerks day maybe a little brighter.

I will spend my money at sonny's, or manless from now on. There service is exceptional.

I wish I had gotten the names of the individuals to post here. Maybe at a later date I can update my review. For now, I'm sure anyone reading will piece it together.

The servings of their food in the restaurant is TOO little unlike before, is this because of inflation? or new management? I am not satisfied with the price I pay for a 2 item.

Rob is a such nice gentleman who works cashier position here, he helps customers with very passionate attitude every time and brings his energy to his customers, especially when I bring my 2 year old nephew here he always be so friendly to him, I always feel so appreciate to him after his help with my shopping
