Griffin Bay Bookstore is a well-stocked indie book seller in Friday Harbor. The store has a wide selection of books for readers of all ages, cards for special occasions, unique vinyl stickers, beautiful puzzles, and other fun gift items. We found several books and other goodies on our visit here! Definitely worth a visit for any book lover. ?

There’s a small kids section to the back right of the store, as well as a cafe that serves a limited menu of tea/coffee drinks and pastry items.

Fun tip: the cafe has a puzzle table where you can collaborate with fellow patrons on putting together a large puzzle project. ?

Bright, busy, quaint, and easy to find, once you cross the threshold, this place will hold you hostage for the next few hours!

Just blocks from the Ferry dock, come in here after that delicious Americano you just consumed, totally caffeinated and ready for your next imaginary adventure!

A must stop while you're here visiting Friday Harbor. Plenty of inventory for all types of genres, a wonderful children's section, a nice little cafe in the back upstairs, games, puzzles...and poof?

I scored a new release of a Tom Hanks Novel, (hardback mind you), and the price point was fair...so I bought it! Support locally!

Highly recommend you carve out some of your valuable visiting time to stop in here!

One of the best local indy bookshops west of New York City. This is a new destination goal for my family. Walking into this shop justifies the WFA fare. Everything else on this beautiful island is just a bonus.

The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, the selection is unbelievable, and the atmosphere is perfection.

It’s a rare shop that makes being inside, in one of the most beautiful places outside, an even bigger draw.

Quaint, well curated but wide selection of books in the most charming little shop. I could browse here for hours, and I always find some gem to take home with me. This is what bookshops should be -- like Kathleen Kelly's Shop Around the Corner.

Cute bookstore but cold staff. After browsing and picking out a book, when approaching the counter the sales staff just extended their hand toward me motioning me to give them the book. No hello, how are you, not a single word. Announced the price, I swiped my card and left. Not sure if these folks are just tired of tourists, but I think at least a hello and thanks for stopping by would be nice.

The tiny cafe tucked away in the back of the Griffon Bay Bookstore is a perfect spot to stop for a cup of coffee, delightful pastry, and a bit of quiet. Take your latest book or magazine purchase to one of the small tables to read and sip, or contribute to the community puzzle in progress. Great stop on your Friday Harbor retail journey!
