A fantastic little newsstand with a wide selection of foreign magazines and newspapers overseen by a friendly owner who is eager to help. For those in search of German periodicals: he carries Die Zeit, the strange New-Yorker Staats-Zeitung, Der Spiegel, and a bunch of gossip / tabloid magazines. Owner is happy to hold issues if you really need to get your hands on something, and will give you a call when they arrive. How lovely, and what a rarity in the 21st century.

Absolutely the best newsstand in the upper east side - if not all of NYC. The guy at the counter was very friendly, and there was a wide selection of books, newspapers, and magazines from the world. I really, really enjoyed, and I bought a lot - I mean A LOT. This store is the best. More power to you guys!! Will come back soon 🙂

I always like this magazine shop it has all the latest magazines and it's a rarity today when there is a place that sells them but in all the time I've gone to my neighborhoid store I never had a problem except for today. The man was nasty and when I didn't want to pay him in cash I wanted to give him a debit card which is far as I'm concerned is as good as cash he tried to charge me $1.95 extra to use . Now, I I've heard of being charged extra for using a card but number one as I said it's a debit card which is just like cash and number two I never heard of having to pay a $1.95 which is kind of high adding enough to my three magazines which cost $21 you could see my being upset and disappointed because I was looking forward to having a nice evening relaxing and just enjoying the magazines he was very nasty to me and rude where usually the person that's there is always been very nice. Or, he could have said next time
