Great art space with a selection of the works by local artists. The best of them really allow to comprehend and connect with the heritage of the city and region.

Free on Thursdays which is great! The art curation just didn’t feel cohesive to me. Some of the pieces felt a bit amateurish/unfinished in my humble and quite honestly, uncultured opinion. Nonetheless, enjoyed my time there overall, especially the outdoor exhibit but enjoyed other galleries in Kelowna a lot more.

On day 57 of our 10,000 miles North America road trip, we had the pleasure of visiting the Kelowna Art Gallery, right in the heart of Kelowna's Cultural District. The experience was nothing short of fantastic!

Not only does the gallery offer free entrance on Thursday until 8 pm, but it's also a hub of creativity. We explored the gallery's exhibitions, Classe for workshops, the attractive installations both outside and inside the building.

What truly stood out was the impeccable visitor support at the reception. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and ready to assist with any inquiries. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus.

The curatorial team was impressive, responding promptly to our questions and providing valuable insights.

As for pricing, it's very reasonable:

Family: $14
Children under 12: FREE
Whether you're an art enthusiast or just looking for a wonderful cultural experience in Kelowna, the Kelowna Art Gallery is a must-visit. We highly recommend it!

(Going to get personal). We live and work in Kelowna half the year. In Brooklyn the other half. The Kelowna Art Gallary rivals the galleries in NYC (yes… I said it). The curation of exhibits is excellent; especially the focus on contemporary Canadian artists (although, they exhibit international as well), AND local high school students’ work. Also, the variety and quality of work that goes into each and every exhibition is phenomenal, I can’t say enough how great it is. I absolutely love visiting the Kelowna Art Gallery every time I’m in town. YOU should GO! Support this wonderful cultural staple in the city.

Ok, I had to add an update after reading some of the “not so great” reviews. As an MFA graduate of Pratt Institute in NYC; I assure you the Kelowna Art Gallery is 100% worth the visit. I’ve spent 6 years touring New York City galleries and museums, world renowned Upstate NY sculpture parks, and museums galleries around the world (as best I can on a limited budget). The Kelowna Art Gallery is a cultural institution where you can feel and see the amount of work and labour of love that goes into each and every exhibition. It’s a real shame that some others can’t see that, as galleries like this are very important to the fabric of any community.

Visited this art gallery in Kelowna and, although small, it's definitely worth a visit. I went on a Thursday, and a kind lady informed me it's free on Thursdays, which was a pleasant surprise. The gallery may be small, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Dempsey Bob exhibition. It's incredible what the artist accomplished with wood. A hidden gem that I highly recommend checking out!

Visited here to escape the heat when we were visiting Kelowna in the dead of summer. This is such a great space! There was a lot to see and the exhibits were really cool. Lots to do for all ages, and the staff was very helpful.

Extremely disappointed. Couldn’t believe that the presented pieces are an actual art. Doesn’t worth your time and especially money. The space is tiny and not interesting at all.

The employees were very friendly, that was the only reason that this place deserves a star.
