Alors je me rendu ,a cette adresse deux fois au heures d'ouvertures et j'ai trouvé porte close, rien pour indiquer un éventuel retard ou fermeture. La façade et l'extérieur étaient très sales. Peux être que cette librairie est fermée ?

Great bookstore with thousands of books in Haitian Creole, French, and English. The only bookstore black owned and standing for over 33 years in the area. This is great place for the whole family, you can come in say Bonjour and search for some books and sit down to read a few pages before you make your decisions.The owner is Jan Mapou, he is a writer and well-read pioneer of Little Haiti. Libreri Mapou is a gem for any book lover to visit and purchase a few books to add to their library.

I went here today at 11:15am , the store was closed when on google it clearly stated that on Tuesday they open at 11am, the phone number does not work, I walk across the street and ask if this place is still in business , and the people told me yes, one lady stated he comes at 12pm, I returned at 12:15pm store not open , the lady across the street called Mr.Mapou on this cell phone no answer, please please do not waste your time coming here , especially if you are from out of town, if a place wants business, they must update their business hours or at least have a phone number that works so that customers may communicate as far as what time they are welcomed to the store, I will never recommend this place to anyone

Although I'm happy to know there's a Haitian bookstore in town, I would advise that the hours are updated or at least presented as "vary." It is currently 11:42am on a Tuesday and I'm once again disappointed to find the business boarded up and closed. This is after experiencing the same thing on Sunday. Like previous reviews mentioned, the listed phone number & email address also doesn't work making contacting the bookstore impossible.

I want to support such an important business promoting Haitian literature but this is a huge deterrent. It will be a waste of time to keep traveling to try and support a business that makes it extremely difficult to do so. Please consider these reviews and recommendations for improvement. We must do better!

It's good to have a library, especially in little Haiti. The place was easy to find , ,it was clean and very welcoming. But ,I expected a wider range of book options there. Don't really have your hope up that you will find a book you have been looking for. Oh, do not bother calling their phone number , u will not get through, it's either not working or no one to answer, I wish they'll get better selections .

Waste of time, gas and energy. I really wanted to check out this place while I was in town visiting family. I drove over here because it should have been open based on the hours posted (noon on a Sunday), but the lady in the market next door said the owner there every now and then. So, basically it's random.
