Lots of cute items here, also old school anime dvds and magazines!! Great stop if you’re into origami or want to get a gift. Plus, the man who runs the store is kind and wrapped my purchase with a little origami crane as the bow. Adorable!!

I absolutely recommend this place if you like old before 2010s animes and manga. The store has very rare and old posters, mangas, and DVDs for ridiculously good prices. stuff you can not find online. Mangas are in English and japanese. The owner is really kind and will look in the back to pull out any extra books he has related to your interests. I never seen such an extensive and well maintain collection of old mangas for sale. I love this place even more than the stores in San Francisco Japan Town. They also have sets of beautiful handmade ceramics and traditional Japanese wall arts.

The store carries a varied selection of small kitchen and household items, ceramics, decorative items, small toys and gifts, anime themed publications, DVD's, and collectibles. The shop owner is very helpful and nice.

A great little shop that has an assortment of Japanese accessories both decorative and practical. Tucked into 1/4 of the shop is a section dedicated to anime and manga, both import and domestic (translated), as well as other related merch.

Staff are incredibly kind, friendly, knowledgable and helpful.

Picked up a cookware here. The older gentleman who works here is the most precious thing ever. As I was heading out, he shared with me how to use my tamagoyaki pan and to “YouTube” videos to learn. I also overheard his interaction with a child who broke something she purchased. And this man tried to calm her down, even saying he will give her another one/whatever she dropped and broke.

This is a neat store to check out. Lots of interesting old anime stuff, like magazines, manga, DVDs….you can spend quite a bit of time looking through their inventory. They also sell a fair amount of other Japanese goods such as tea and sake sets, plates.

Prices are fair. And the exact pan I got here was $2 cheaper than another Japanese store around the corner.

This shop is - in my humble opinion - the crown jewel of San Jose JapanTown. The proprietors are kind, and they provide a unique experience akin to late Shōwa era shopping in the quieter Tokyo districts. Ornate dishware, charming trinkets, vintage animation goods, and delightful surprises on every shelf. Serve your community and serve your soul by patronizing this humble cornerstone of Japanese-American life.

There are treasures here for those who know what you seek. Although the store seems like it has mostly dated items it has a charm that you can't experience elsewhere. This is my go to spot for bonsai pots and Ikebana tools etc.
