As someone that works in the hospitality sector, I’m beyond impressed and amazed at this locally run business. First of all, you can tell that everyone involved in this operation is passionate about what they do. As you open their door, you are greeted enthusiastically and offered a smile and light conversation, enough that it’s not distracting as you browse all of their musical titles. However I digress, the real review is how this store responded to their customer base surrounding Record Store Day. They went above and beyond in ensuring that each customer that put in their wish list was attended to, and even for titles that Pop Music would not normally carry. Every demand was met and the hard work showed. It says something about a business when your loyal customers line up for hours and in the case of Record Store Day…..overnight. The owner had muffins and light refreshments available in the morning for those braving the weather overnight. This is a family, a community, a place to go where you can enjoy a great conversation around any genre of music. They know their stuff here and they care. They care and they deserve 5 stars across the board. Keep it up! You guys are Pro’s and I’ll keep coming back purchasing vinyl at some of the best prices in the city. Thank you for all that you do.

I entered the seemingly endless line up for Record Store Day at Pop Music in Toronto. The line up was about 2 blocks long and took me 3 hours before I got to the store’s front entrance. As the store had a website that updated the remaining quantities of the records I was interested in, I knew I was going to get most of my desired purchases. I chose Pop Music over other area stores as not only have I purchased from them before and thought their service to be excellent, but they also had the most copies of the records I wanted to purchase. No other store either had the quantities available or they didn’t make them public. Either way, Pop Music was the obvious choice.

Though the store was quite busy, the layout made it easy to find everything I was looking for. The cash out process was also fast and efficient. So 3 hours in line, 15 minutes in the store led to several key additions to the collection. All in all a great day

Today was my first RSD (Record Store Day) and I chose to spend it with Pop Music on Broadway in Toronto. What an experience! The staff was very friendly and very helpful! I left with everything on my "I Need" list and more! I even met some new friends (what a bonus)! You have a dedicated customer in me!
