This place is phenomenal! 😍 Massive collection of both new and used books, games, art supplies, and entire kid’s section, and a “blind book” section to pick up something new! The staff (Michelle and Carri) were also so friendly and helpful! Also pro tip for dog owners: dogs are allowed inside! 🐶

This store is full of treasures. You can find so many awesome books, new and used, but also fun stationary, cards, local art, jewelry, kids stuff, and so many fun gifts. The owner and staff are helpful and friendly, when you need them they’re always happy to help and they go above and beyond, in my experience, plus they’re super queer-friendly. I go pretty regularly myself as a local, and always make it a stop on my list for visitors. A true gem of a shop on Pender Island!

I totally love this book store. The owner and staff are consistently friendly and helpful every time I go there. They have a great selection of books, puzzles, locally made gifts, and yummy British candies. I also love how supportive they are of the LGBTQ+ community. Totally worth a visit while at The Driftwood plaza.

I visited a few days ago with the recommendations expressed to me. I found a book and proceeded to the cash register at the front. The employee was facing the complete opposite of the front desk and didn't have any interest in my attempted purchase. I abandoned the book at the front desk and left. My friend, knowing I wanted the book ended up purchasing it for me. I felt completely ignored and will never purchase books at this store in the future. My experience was unacceptable. If you want me to buy books, atleast attend to customers at the front desk to pay. My experience doesn't even deserve a 2 star rating.

spent my days growing up working at this little book shop. the pride selection has nearly quadrupled in size and the crafts section is more bountiful than ever.

the ownership has changed hands since i worked here, but the atmosphere is as alive as ever. personable staff and detailed stock.

My family and I love visiting Talisman, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and they truly have something for everyone. A wonderful kids section, locally made gifts, treats, craft supplies, games, puzzles and of course books for all interests!
My daughter and I especially love to stop in and visit the shop pup, Clem Fandango. After all, everyone is welcome at Talisman. ❤️

I’m not a book person but I still love going to Talisman for all their handmade local artwork and items, the trinkets, and the art supplies! They have rows on rows of every book you could think of, and if they don’t have it they do their best to order it in just for you! The owner and staff are always very welcoming and easy to chat with, and support the LGBTQIA+ community.

One of my favourite stores on Pender. Love to browse there extensive books both new and used. Love the gift section and talking with the staff regarding all things "books". They give great book recommendations if your stuck.
