The HUB has so much going on inside some well preserved historic buildings. There's a clay collective so good there's a waiting list, a lapidary club with all the machinery to polish up your finds a Friday Cafe and movie nights held by the film club. Not to mention the child care and Montessori school. A not so hidden gem in the community of Cowichan Station.

I love playing disc golf at the center of the universe. The community center, fuggetaboutit, its fantastic. If I lived in the tax area, I'd be proud of what has been accomplished.

The Hub is a former school building which has been converted to a cafe. As a cafe it has closed for the summer but will host private functions such as the birthday party I attended yesterday. It's an old building and is situated on a treed lot in an area where it is the only building in sight. Very peaceful and relaxing. It has a large front porch which was perfect for yesterday's function.

We rented the gymnasium this past weekend for my son's 10th Birthday. It was so lovely, clean & roomy with chairs and tables. We played hockey, basketball, dodge ball, musical chairs. We blasted our music and danced.
It was not only affordable, it was so easy to book and the communication was top notch.
Thank you again!

The Hub is a great concept-but the environment is toxic and gross. Particularly the Pottery “clique” and the wood shop-though the wood shop has come under new supervision and seems to be more inclusive. It’s a shame to have something so close by to go to relax, throw and meet people, but it’s not the way of this place at all. Snotty, entitled women of both the clay hub and the board make it impossible for anyone to want to join/stay or belong. When touring the Makers market at Christmas, I mentioned this to quite a few people-members and former members-and they whole heartedly agreed. Find something better to do, ladies, than terrorize people who just want a sweet place to chill and belong. Shame on the “Hub” for allowing this to go on. It’s goes completely against your vision.
