So glad I stopped by this place on a spur during my Seattle to CO/UT roadtrip. Everyone was super warm and welcoming. My Labrador pup Oliver got a ton of pets and scratches from everyone.

Fun store with nerdy stuff!

Met a couple of really awesome people and we chatted a bunch in the backroom (kids room?) over various things. The coffee was excellent.

Thanks all for showing this Seattlelite a great night! ?

I am so impressed with how warm and embracing this bookstore is. It’s rare that others can match my joy and enthusiasm for authors like N. K. Jemisin or Octavia Butler. I feel I found my community here! Super queer, neurodivergent embracing in a really intelligent way, vegan marshmallow options, … many places try to be inclusive but this shop knocks the socks off. I loved the enthusiastic book recommendations and nuanced conversations about sub-sub genres… so great. My trip to SLC has been enriched greatly.

The coolest bookstore and coffee shop. I love the relaxed environment and everyone seemed so safe and friendly. My friend and I were having a weird emotional day and we decided to check this store out. Somehow ended up healing a little bit today at legendarium. Coming back for coffee and tea very soon ?

Great selection off SFF titles. Im visisting from the SF bay area and this place just felt right. The environment here was amazing, you can tell the staff love what they do and that they have created such a safe place to hold community and geek out over the things they love.

Would give this place 10 stars if I could. The vibe is fantastic, and the drinks and food from the coffee bar are wonderful. It's a super inclusive space with caring and compassionate people working there. And they have books, places to read or work on homework.. I love going here, if you can't tell. Highly recommend.

The best thing about this bookstore is that they are lgbtq+ friendly, and when you walk inside, you have the feeling of a safe space. It's also an amazing bookstore with a fun and very good coffee shop inside. There are so many rooms to look through, and all of the drinks are fantasy themed. They have a discord that you can join as well. It will give you updates on the many things they have going on every day. From D&D nights to bookclub meetings and just a space to do some work. I absolutely love this place and love coming in to visit!

Incredible bookshop. My wife and I made a point to stop here on a trip from Boise because we wanted to support such a cool bookstore. It was even cooler than anticipated. Such a great range of sci-fi and fantasy, so many wonderful queer authors. We walked out with a huge pile of good reads. And the staff was so friendly!

Okay.

This place is INCREDIBLE.

I have visited here twice while in SLC - both times, I walked over an hour to get there and it was well worth it.

I agree with what others have said here - the inclusive and friendly (almost magical) atmosphere is very nearly tangible.

It isn't just the atmosphere, though. The book selection is awesome for being modestly sized. In fact, after visiting Ken Sanders and Wellers, there's something to be said for a carefully curated book selection that keeps you engaged and intrigued rather than vaguely overwhelmed.

Please, please, please do yourself a major favor and pay these lovely people a visit. Spend a little money here. I feel confident you won't regret it.
