What a groovy shop! They are the official group hosting the LA Zine Fest !

Last night we were able to attend a zine making workshop! The event was offered free to anyone looking to hang out & make art with old and new friends & strangers. Free Supplies, snacks, fresh donuts & drinks provided.

They feature zines galore from local talent, new books, custom art. The space is available to host similar classes, lectures & events. They have a calendar of events & happenings coming up in the the space.

Check this place out. Very sweet & generous people offering a super creative space for the community. Located in a fun spot in the heart of area with lots of other shops on York. It’s a great neighborhood.

Fun little shop with lots of local authors and artists. Big selection of zines and handmade items from the community. There’s a piano for people to play , all kinds of readings and events every week and alot of art shows and an interesting selection of books. Overall a really Friendly shop with chill vibes.

I always have the best experience coming here. I used to live nearby and stumbled on this bookstore and found the collection of books to be very inspiring. I'm someone who always has questions and they always have answers! They have even helped inspire me to create my own work and help with all my curiosities of this creative world. A great place to stop by when you have time on a nice sunny day..or gloomy day- whichever 🙂

Visited this shop on my last trip to LA and loved it so much that I had to visit again! The shop has a variety of books, zines, and artwork—many of which are by local artists, which I love to see as someone not from LA and always wanting to thoughtfully learn more about a community I’m visiting.

The owner is really kind. On my first visit, I found a book that was about one of my fav film professors from grad school which I thought was so serendipitous and he gave it to me half-off. This time around, I bought a really cool zine and book of poems. He gave me a free sticker with it too!

Definitely a gem and will be a regular spot I visit when coming to LA 🙂

This independent bookstore is a a hidden gem in Highland Park. It has a great collection of niche books, zines, and trinkets. It also has various events on the weekends that support local creatives and artisans. It is community driven and a great place to feel inspired by locals. I highly recommend a visit.

Experienced rude treatment from sales associate working there. Their capsule machine broke down and I asked if there was a way to fix it to still get what I paid for. They didn’t respond to my request and I stood in an awkward silence until he said “Well aren’t you coming to the counter?”
I replied “Do I need to?” assuming he was just going to assess the machine.
He replied “Yeah if you want your money back.” I was taken aback being spoken to so rudely. I was simply waiting for a course of action and he treated me like I was a complete waste of time. Felt completely unwelcome and will never come back again.
