An unexpected gem!

We came here not having many expectations but we were blown away by what we experienced. It's a very nicely renovated building with an awesome atmosphere. When it comes to the menu that was also impressive. Everything from suicide wings to pizza to Elk burgers to salads! They've got something for everyone, even a kids menu.

We came here twice. The second time we attempted the 5 pound burger challenge (none of us managed to complete it) which was fun. Though if you want to try the same you have to give them a call in advance so they have time to prep it.

The staff is also very nice and helpful.

100/10 recommend.

Food and service was amazing. Large /generous portion sizes, but still on the higher end of price $$$. Didn't like that there are no prices for sides or upsells on the tablet.

Great for a cheeky meal on the way home from a day at the lake or at work. Food is a bit expensive but if you go for the daily deals you won't have an issue. Staff is super friendly and it's always a great atmosphere.

Fantastic small town pub, great friendly service amazing food, went in for wing night the were delicious (sorry no pics I ate them to fast lol) also had homemade strawberry cheese cake which was nothing short of devine, and got a Thai rice bowl to go for lunch the next day, haven't eatin it yet but smells fantastic, thank you ZEE Bar 😁
Had to come back the next day for taco night, definitely was not disappointed in the elk tacos and bison tacos. Sooooo good highly suggest everyone trys them, again thank you ZEE Bar 😁

When I lived out in Fort Mac I visited here after ice fishing.. I had the Elk burger, waited 45 min and was so worth it. So tasty, cheers.

Great spot after a trip out to the lake on your motorcycle or a pit stop after snowmobiling in the winter.
Game burgers are great! Elk burgers and elk pot pie are my fave.

Alright, this place has been amazing BUT things have changed and it’s a shame because it is just one employee.
Monday wings night, 9 of us, all customers since 2014, we come in at 8pm and ask to order wings. We get told by our waitress that wings are sold out. I ask her if all the wings are sold out as in all flavours and smoked which are not on special. She says yes, all have been sold 30min ago. So we can’t believe that after 3hrs of opening on wings night they sold out?! So we end up ordering 9 burgers and fries and other items off the menu and bunch of beers.
In the meantime I see other tables getting wings. I ask again and again she says all wings are sold and none are left......
Still wings coming out to other tables. I ask for the third time and she says no wings and get annoyed by me. I even asked if they are bringing more wings later or if absolutely any flavour or type of wings is available and she says: NO WINGS!!!
I wait and see other tables eating wings so I had enough, I stand up and go ask another server at the bar if they have any wings and she says:”we have only smoked wings but they are not on special, if you would like to order those.” I said: HOLD ON! WAIT A MINUTE....Holy flying bat-mobile baby Jesus!!! I WILL TAKE ANY WINGS as long as they are chicken wings, hell if pigs flew I’d take pig wings at this point!!!” I told her I just asked three times and three times was not very politely told by the other waitress there were no smoked or hot or salt pepper or any other type wings available. I said I will order what they have left. She says ok. Our waitress never came back to our table. I go and ask the waitress at the bar how many order we are getting, she says 6. I say is that all that’s left since there’s 9 of us. She says: oh maybe there is more....WHAT?!?! I am thinking “Am I on TV and is this when Ashton Kutcher comes out and says I have been pranked?!?!...” Nope!!! It’s a reality of customer service apparently.
So the restaurant went from no wings at all to 6 dozens to maybe 9 dozen. So we ended up getting our wings 1.5hrs later!!! but it’s either staff is lying to customers and wants to save some wings for themselves or they have no idea what’s in the kitchen or it’s a scam to try to get people to pay more on wings night.
Food is delicious but service is absolutely horrible and all because of one waitress serving the corner table by TV on May 20th and that one specific waitress should be fired for out right lying to 9 customers three times!!! Also this caused us all to spend $$$ on food we never really wanted in the first place although burgers were delicious AND THEN pay for the wings we came in for Monday night in the first place. Lady waitress #1 you are NOT good at your job...go to church this Sunday and memorize kitchen list items available for the following Monday wing night.
BTW here’s photo of the delicious wings we finally got. Thank you to my persistence and waitress #2 at the bar who actually saved the night for us.

I love this hidden gem of a restaurant, best burger of the North and their smoked wings are simply amazing!!! The staff is always Friendly and it's always very clean and well kept bar since the renovations. The prices are alittle steep but remember your up north and that's how it goes sometimes (so don't complain about it because it's worth it). There is plenty of parking and the winter time you can drive your sled from Fort McMurray and park right at the door...the cops shouldn't give you too much grief lol. If your passing through and traveling to Fort McMurray swing by here for your first meal😀😀😀
